My favorite lyrics

TIME OF MY LIFE

Wednesday, January 21, 2009

11 Things your Boss won’t tell you

The Company is in trouble.

I’m busy worrying about me, not you.

Dress to impress

You’re too keen

Your best career move is not in my best interest

You smell

Solutions not problem

You deserve a pay rise

You run your personal life on your desk

Stand your ground

You should resign

Is Back!

SEASON 1
Kelly Clarkson won, with Justin Guarini coming in second. A television special from Las Vegas starring the top thirty-two finalists aired after the show, a forty city tour with the top ten followed, as did the box office bomb titled From Justin to Kelly. Since winning, Clarkson has gone on to a successful recording career, including multiple-platinum albums, a number of Top 10 hit singles and 2 Grammy Awards.

SEASON 2

Ruben Studdard emerged as the winner with Clay Aiken as a very close runner-up. Out of 24 million votes recorded, Studdard finished just 130,000 votes ahead of Aiken. The accuracy of the reported results remains controversial. There was much discussion in the communication industry about the phone system being overloaded, and that more than 150 million votes were dropped, making the voting results suspect. Since then the voting methods have been modified to help avoid this problem. In an interview prior to the start of the fifth season, executive producer Nigel Lythgoe revealed for the first time that Aiken had led the fan voting from the wild card week onward until the finale. Despite Studdard's win, Aiken has enjoyed more widespread popularity, emerging as the season's true breakout star.

SEASON 3

After a nationwide vote of more than 65 million votes in total--more than the first two seasons combined--Fantasia Barrino won the "American Idol" title beating out Diana DeGarmo. The third season was also shown in Australia on Network Ten about half a week after episodes were shown in the US.

SEASON 4

The fourth season finale featuring Bo Bice and Carrie Underwood aired May 24-May 25, and 37 million votes were cast. It featured appearances by former auditioners, and celebrity cameos by Kenny G, Rascal Flatts, David Hasselhoff, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, George Benson, Billy Preston, Babyface and Lynyrd Skynyrd. The winner of the competition was Carrie Underwood, who would eventually become the first "Idol" winner to sweep all three major music awards (American Music, Billboard, and Grammy Award) in a single season (for 2006-07).

SEASON 5
It is the first season with a male winner Taylor Hicks and a female runner-up Katharine McPhee. It was also the first season of the series to be aired in high definition.

SEASON 6
Jordin Sparks won the competition with Blake Lewis as the first runner-up.

SEASON 7

The Grand Finale of American Idol Season 7 aired on May 21, 2008, live from the Nokia Theatre at L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California. David Cook was announced as the winner, with David Archuleta as the runner-up.
